  1. your computer uses fossil fuels from a  power plants which pollute. the computer itself is not a co2 generating machine but i do suggest turning it off at night and using the power saving modes on your computer it will cut down on costs to you, extend the life of your computer and cut down on energy use and consumption, also purchasing energy star computers and laptops greatly reduce consumption of power and production of co2

  2. Directly? No.  However...  Your computer does use electricity.

Depending upon how you get your electricity (coal power plant?) you could be "making" CO2 every time you use electricity.  Thus, in that sense, your computer is producing CO2.  But, worse culprits would be other appliances like your refrigerator, stove, microwave, dryer, etc.

  3. not really

(unless you are into those "heavy breathing" websites)

but the construction and delivery of your computer did contribute to CO2 levels

  4. umm no.

but the basis that it uses energy,

    of course.

everything we pretty much use produces co2 somehow

but its better if it's shut down when not in use.

  5. Not really, but it's possible to produce a little bit but not much

  6. Computers don't emit CO2, but the power plant that generated the electricity that you computer uses does. However, a computer does not use much power. The laptop I am using uses 90 watts of power. Since one horsepower is 746 watts, my computer running for 8 hours is responsible for about as much CO2 as a one horsepower engine operating for 1 hour or a 60 horsepower engine operating for one minute.

  7. okay how does your computer make co2

question  does a computer need fuel

    no

    i don´t think so
