Can my cordless phone be ringing because of interference. it rings, but when i check, noone has called!?

The simple answer is "yes".  There is a possibility your cordless phone is getting a signal from another cordless phone unit, an errant signal from an unrelated cordless device, or some signal in the airways is activating your ringer.  With more and more wireless devices being used, there are more and more possibilities of signal interference.

    One option you have is to "change channels".  Most cordless phones have a button to allow the unit to go to another channel if there is interference.  If you cannot find the button, which may be very small and hidden so it's not accidentally selected, look in your user guide or check online with the manufacturer's documentation.  Try to change channels.  This may alleviate the problem.

    Although some devices use the same frequency band, there are multiple channels within that band that could ease your congestion.

  3. those are telemarketors. it just rings once. write? then the machine understands it's a cell and dis connects bofore you answer.

  4. im not going to be much help but just want to let you know that mine does the very same thing ... its bizarre !
