currently in community college. I'm 18 and starting my second year in cc so I guess I'm a bit ahead of the pack. grades are ok, I was going through a lot of family and personal problems (father having a stroke, brother dying, mother breaking down mentally and being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and getting admitted) so I only pulled off a 3.2 GPA but I could bring that up in a year. how hard will it be?

we're also dirt poor, should I start applying for scholarships and loans now?

  1. I would think it would help.

  2. Yeah it will definitely help you out having family that went to UMass. I think you can do it. When you apply you should have to write an essay, so talk about all the diversity you have been going through. You should also be applying for financial aid and scholarships as soon as possible.
