  1. If the title is in your name, then probably not, but if it is even somewhat in his, then yes. And that's Grand Theft Auto, a felony. Don't risk it!

  2. he can report it but no charges can be filed if the car is legally registered in your name. police won't allow these type of charges to be filed for a civil dispute between you and your father.

  3. if the title is in your name -it's your car.  he can report it stolen, but the burden of proof is on him.

  4. He can't legally report it stolen if the vehicle is titled in your name.

  5. he can but they will drop the charges

  6. It will depend. Since he purchased the car I'm resuming that you're fairly young.

-If you're under 18yrs, even if the car is titled in your name, he is your gaurdian/parrent so he technicaly owns the car. He can control your use of it, and prohibit you from using it. If you use it anyways it is theft, so he can file a report.

-If you're over 18yrs, then unless his name is on the title or you have a specific agreement about the use of the car where he can prohibit you from using it for certain reasons then he can't do anything.

Judging from the fact that you need his "permission" to drive the car, that the first senario is more likely.

  7. Under the right circumstances.
