We have an AT&T family plan. I no longer wanted to be part of the plan, so I let my portion of the contract run out and then got a new phone, on my own, with Verizon. My old AT&T phone is just sitting in my drawer and no longer has service (since I let it run out when my two years was up). The rest of my family is still on the same old AT&T family plan.
My dad decided he likes my old AT&T phone better than his current one. So my questions are:
1. Can he put his sim card in my old phone to activate it again?
2. If so, will he still have his current number, or will it change to my old number?
3. In either case, is there any chance it will activate my old line? I waited two years to get away from AT&T and now there are only 3 lines on the family plan. We don't want it to re-activate my old number and go back up to 4 lines again.
If you know the answers to my question, please say how you know them. I don't want to just go by guesses and mess things up. Thank you!
