My daughter stays with me 4 nights a week,i do all the school runs and activity runs ie brownies ,swimming and pay for it all . When i asked her mum for parental responsibility she refused.Surely as her father i am entitled to this.I have no legal rights over my daughter how would i be able obtain legal rights.

  1. Hi There!

To Obtain legal rights you should definatley go to court, I know it might sound mean, but you really wouldn't be. You can get leagal custody of your child as long as you can prove you can afford it, and it does not have to be full custody it can be partical, where basically if you have her four night a week that is what it would be like, you could request it to stay the same, you should be able to do this but my true advise would be to talk to a legal adviser, I think it is really great you do this for your Daughter, not to many Dads would :) All the best of luck, hey and let me know how things go!
