Question:

Can my doctor find out if I'm getting prescriptions filled or not?

I'm curious if a doctor can find out if prescriptions are being filled or not. My doctor writes me prescriptions, but I can't get them filled right now because I'm waiting to qualify for Medicaid. My doctor thinks I'm taking the medication, but I kinda have to tell a little white lie until I have the means to actually fill them. So... I'm curious because I don't want to look like a total a.ss should they find out.

  1. No, they don't know if you're filling them or not.  But be careful. Some scripts are only good for 10 days.  Most are good for 6 months or a year.  You can call any pharmacist to find out. (It depends on the medication.)

Bless you and good luck!  :)
