  1. it should, if its new. if its kind of old then I wouldn't trust it. you can get wall mounts to place on the back of the dresser to the wall which will make it very sterdy.

  2. try to fit it in.

  3. It will work, dimension-wise, but remember that a gallon of water weighs approximately 10 pounds, so 10*10 is 100 pounds.  Assuming there's no rocks or gravel.  Just keep in mind that weight and you should do fine.

  4. My dresser is about 20 years old and its supporting my 29 gallon saltwater tank--plus about 20 lbs of live rock..so yes..it should work!!!

  5. If its a solidly constructed wood dresser it should be fine.  I currently have a 25 gallon on my dresser without issue.

  6. You're talking about putting at least 90 pounds of weight on top of your dresser and keeping it there (1 pint = 16 ounces = 1 pound. 8 pints = 1 gallon = 8 pounds. 80 pints = 10 gallons = 80 pounds. Plus the other stuff inside of the tank equals around 90 pounds). It doesn't sound like a good idea to me unless that dresser is made of very solid wood throughout and has more than glue holding its frame together.

  7. Easily.  A 10 gallon aquarium doesn't get more than 30 pounds when full.

  8. Yes. I had a ten-gallon aquarium on a 3 legged nightstand (with a lamp mind you) and it was fine.

  9. it should. I have a 50 on a dresser.

Try sitting on the dresser and moving side to side.

If it feels like it might break, don't put it up there.

  10. sure. mine is about the same size and holds up my 10 gallon just fine.

  11. It's probably be alright. Just make sure, as always, that the surface is level.

  12. It will probably work but it's gonna have to be positioned the right way like cornered on the dresser or one spot of the dresser will have too much weight and collaspe.

  13. As long as the dresser is solid wood and not something like particle board it should be fine.I have a ten gallon on one of my dressers.

  14. Water weighs about 8 lbs per gallon, so a ten gallon tank with water, gravel and so on will weigh around 80-90 lbs.  Remember that if you have gravel in the bottom it will weigh more.  NEVER try to pick up an aquarium when it's filled with water (dump out as much as possible) and then move it.  If you try to move a filled tank it could crack the glass or separate at the seams.  But I thing your dresser would still hold this weight.

  15. It might, but I deffintally would be careful..
