Can my ducks lay eggs?

Question

I have two white ducks; one female, one male. I raised them too. Can the female lay eggs and how old do they have to be? They are 4 months old right now. When can they begin reproducing, if they even can?

Yes your ducks can lay eggs.. I had Pekings that did (that's the breed of duck you have).. it seems like mine were a little over six months old.  She used to lay an egg every AM

Yes They can I had 2 Female white ducks and they were always lying, just give them time.

Your duck will lay eggs, that's how it got here. The cycle doesn't end.  But just wait it out, I'm sure the time varies from duck to duck.

ducks generally start laying at around 6-8 months but it is a bit different for each duck! =)

(some start around 7 months more might not start until 9 months)

they are able to reproduce as soon as  they start to lay BUT a male drake must be their to fertilize the eggs or the eggs lay-ed will be duds (infertile) and the duck will basically sit on rotten eggs. .

so as you have a male, as soon as she starts laying eggs   (the female) and as-long as the two mate . .  the eggs should be fertile and she will most likely hatch them herself =)
