  1. Yup.  It happened to a friend of mine.  She didn't really do anything about it, just couldn't wear contacts for like a week.

  2. yes they can get burned, for the irritation just stay out of the sun for a few days and maybe put a cool clothe over them maybe even those natural tears eyedrops

  3. no ur eyes can´t get sunburned!

the sun might make them hurt but i dont think your problem is the sun

did you go to the pool a lot? if u open your eyes underwater that can happen

but dont blame it on the sun

  4. yes

  5. This happens to me all the time, if you pull your eyelid up you will see that that part is still white, it was only where your eyes were exposed that is red, or bloodshot looking. This happens when I go on vacation and I  am inthe  sun for a straight week, just use some eyedrops and it will help with the discomfort!

  6. Although eyes do not get "sunburned" in the same way that skin does, excessive exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays can lead to many eye problems, both short- and long-term.

Intense exposure to ultraviolet rays, such as that which may occur when sunlight reflects off water or sand, can inflame the white part of the eye (conjunctiva). Typical symptoms include eye redness, discomfort and sensitivity to light. This condition usually responds to lubricating eyedrops and occasionally anti-inflammatory drops. Most people recover within a few days with no permanent damage to their vision. A similar condition, referred to as "snow blindness," is sometimes seen among skiers.
