I have two rats, their old and my mother won't let me get anymore. I have a pathetic little betta fish that lives in a fancy half galon "bucket". My dad is alergic to dander and syliva of animals(cats and dogs as far as I know). My brother is afraid of dogs. My mother doesn't want to have to take care of any pets for me. Is there any hope of getting a cat or dog?

  1. Why does your mom think she will have to take care of them?  Who cares for the rats currently?  If you are the main care provider she should have no problem letting you get another animal.  Maybe a hamster, gerbil, or chinchilla?  Those are neat little animals that need care but no walking or cleaning of litter boxes.

    Good luck!

  2. I think that you should gave up the idea of having a dog or a cat. Since almost all your family member disagree of having it. And it takes alot of time to care for the dog and cat. You have to train them to pee and poo at newspaper either by yourself or put your dog to training that causes alot of money.

  3. it would not be fair on the dog/cat in this situation. I know you want one but it would not get the full family interaction it deserves. Wait till your older then you can get whatever and however many you want! Trust me its so much better then.

Why dont you dress up the Betta tank, or put some complimentary tropical fish in there with him?

  4. if you love your family adopt any pets. your dad is alergic your brothers is afraid of dogs and if i was you i dont buy anymore pets.give your family some respect!!!

  5. a cat that lives outside would be perfect I'm sure you probably have a porch for it to sleep on and you and your brother can take turns feeding it
