Can my friend get in trouble for starting a hate group about my teacher on myspace?

i dont know if it is illegal but it is very stupid and immature. i wouldnt risk this because ultimately your friend will get hurt someone will tell the teacher and your friend will suffer the consequences. if she  has a problem with the teacher she should keep it to herself school really is over before you know it. also by saying mean things and bullying one person you can truly cause alot of damage to a persons self esteem that is something to think about.

if there are threats made to or about the teacher, then yes.

Very possibly, yes.  At the very least, they could get sued for slander or harassment.  All that aside, tho, it makes your friend look less than intelligent.
