Can my girlfriend buy insurance for a car that i own? or does the title have to be in her name?

the title to the car is in my name but she needs the car way more than i do. i want to help her without putting my own insurance premium at risk. would she be able to purchase insurance for the car and get tags for it without having the car in her name?

yeah she can my mums insured on both, my dad and my brothers car.

No. The insurance and the ownership are linked. She can not buy on her name. Even if she buys it adds to you only.
