Can my glasses be fixed or do I need a new frame?

My daughter twisted the arm of my glasses and completely twisted the metal hinge snapping it off. Since it's just the little metal piece can they replace that for cheap or do I just need to get a new frame all together? Thanks!

  1. That's pretty well something the optician would have to see in person to know if it can be fixed or not.

Usually, when a metal hinge is twisted that bad, it will just break off when we try to untwist it again...if so, you will need a new frame....but, without seeing it, it's just a guess.

  2. They sound like they are toast to me, but it is true that someone would need to see it first. Call where you got them and see if they are under any sort of warranty.

  3. I would take the glasses to the optical shop I purchased them from and let them tell me.  There should be no charge to give you an answer.  Also, if you recently bought them, they may still be under warranty.
