Can my hamster eat fruit?

Can my dwarf hamster eat fruits like strawberries or bananas or some other kind?

Dried fruits and dried bannanas are okay tho

Yes, but not too much. You can cause diarrhea, or even diabetes.

Some fruits like apples have a little too much natural sugar which is not good for the hamster all the time. Fresh Fruit can also cause diarrhea. hamsters actually like fresh vegetables, like carrots and green parts of plants. But whether you feed it fruit, vegetables, or even the store bought treats you always want to feed it to them in small amounts. Hope I helped

yes, he can but NO CITRUS FRUITS he may die here are some simptoms  

diarrhea diabetes heart failure and worse that we shoudnt explain it could be too much to handle but furthermore no do not feed it citrus fruits but yes he can have bananas and here ill send u the stuff it can eat.

But if you're talking about treats, they can eat several things.

Cheese (not alot)

Carrots

Lettuce

Apple Slices

Bok Choy

Hard-boiled eggs or scrambled

Celery

Broccoli

Bananas

Cantaloupe

Seedless Grapes

Corn on the Cob

Zucchini

Peas

Cucumbers

Plain tofu

Dry Oatmeal

Dont feed them almonds or any citrus fruit

yes , i feed my hampster loads of fruits just like what you listed and he is getting really old now but is still fit as a fiddle ! but don't have it as his day to day diet keep feeding him hampster food and use fruit as a treat.
