Can my hamster get catch my cold?

Question

Can my hammie catch my cold? I was just wondering, because, I'm sick right now and I still need to feed it and stuff. So does anyone know if my hamster can catch my cold? I have a soar throat and the sniffles. Also, if I had something more serious, just for future reference, can my hamster catch it if I have the flu or something????

Yes it can! I'm sick too, the hamsters usually get easily infected, they are tips for it!:

1.First clean your bedroom (like your Blankets, Beds, and the things that has dust on it, etc...)then make sure you don't put the hamster or the cage in the room, it contains your flu when you're sick so it'll be sick.

2.you can only touch the hamster 3 times a day or less, if you touch 3+ the hamster starts to feel dizzy (but 4 or 5 is okay!)so if you easily mistaken, just let the hamster rest.

3.if you want to clean the cage, leave it first for 2 weeks, if you get well already before 2 weeks, don't start yet! to discuss if your sick is gone, let it for 2 days then if you start to be sick again then wait for 4 days!

4.If you are really well already, then CONGRATULATIONS you'll be ready to clean the cage but if the hamster is sleeping somewhere like downstairs, just leave that part and your hamster will be well too soon!
