Can my hamster have straw?

The market was selling stacks of straw for autumn decoration and I couldn't resist taking a few for my hamster. But is it okay?

  1. yes. they actually like it they will make a bed or nest with it too!


  2. I would say be careful with it.  Straw is very sharp and could hurt your hamsters eye.  If you find pieces that are not sharp it should be okay but just be cautious with it.  

  3. um decoration straw NO. You should get some hay for him. it is VITAL to there nutrition and they LOVE IT.
