Can my husband and kids get a visa into the u.k from the u.s. I am British and they are South African?

My family and I have tried to get papers to stay in the u.s. we have been denied and we have to leave soon. I do not want to go back to south africa. Can we get into the u.k from the u.s. I am a british citizen. They hold south african passports?

  2. How did you become a British citizen? Are you born in the UK or naturalized there when when you were younger? Or did you acquire it through your parents who were British at the time of your birth and were not born in the UK.

    If it's the first two then you can you can apply for a British passport for the children (providing they're born after during or after 1983). You can easily apply for a British passport at the UK embassy.

    South Africans need a visa to get into the UK even if they're going as tourists.

  3. I believe UK accepts South African passports freely. On arrival. You should check though on the version of the US State Department's web page (the UK's that is). I tried to find it but don't know....probably ministry something or other. But, from memory, I'm pretty positive I've had friends do this.
