  1. It can be done...not legally and you could get him in trouble. But what he can do legally is deposit it into a joint checking account without your signature and then write a check or withdraw cash from that account.

  2. legally no -- can he yes!!!!

  3. Can he?  Easily.

    Technically, not legal.

  4. not legally but there are ways around it

  5. If you share a joint account with him the check can be deposited simply by writting FOR DEPOSIT ONLY on it and depositing it into the account. Either one of you can then withdraw the funds.

For your husband to get cash from a bank he needs your signature and your ID to verify the signature.

He may find a way to cash it but it will not be "legal" and if you complain you could get him and the person cashing the check in trouble.

  6. Depends on how the check is worded.  For Example:

John and Jane Smith - would require both signatures

John or Jane Smith - would require on one signature

  7. Unfortunately it is customary (and illegal) for many husbands to forge their wife's name to such checks.

  8. No one, including your husband, can legally sign your name to anything unless you give them Power of Attorney to do so.
