Can my husband use my savings account to direct deposit his pay?

my husband has no bank account, he cant open a new one coz he does have have a 2 valid ID's. Is it possible for him to use direct deposit his paycheque on my savings account?

  1. As long as the account is a joint account, then there shouldn't be any problem of direct deposit into the savings account.

    However, if it isn't a joint account then you could run into some issues.

    Another option, is just to have him endorse his actual paycheck to you so that you can deposit.

  2. You should be able to do this, most payroll departments don't care who holds the account, they simply require a form from the employee authorizing them to deposit the funds to it.

    This may vary from employer to employer and jurisdiction to jurisdiction, so your best bet is to contact the payroll department of your husbands employer and ask them directly.
