  1. I have to say, get that goldfish out of that tank, no filter for a goldfish is one of the most unhealthy things for a goldfish. Is its tank 20 gallons or bigger??? if not......you have an unhappy goldfish. Anyway, he will probably be happier with other goldfish. Goldfish are bred from a species or carp which are schooling fish. Because of that, goldfish have the instinct to school. Good luck with your fishey!!=))

  2. Yes, it will be better. Their natural habitat is pond ... not aquarium. But when moving your fish, you need to acclimatise them properly cause a sudden temperature change might kill the fish.

  3. You should try asking a manager in the petstore or ask a vet if that fish is alowed to live in the pond.

  4. i think if you take the indoor fish out of the tank and put him somewhere hot  and filled with other fish, it might make him very sick because the change of surronding. if the fish is too big for his tank then buy a bigger one. but be careful when you move him to the other tank.

  5. of corse i did the same thing a they were perfectly fine

  6. as long as it is just a common goldfish (not a fan tail or fancy one) but like a commit, then yes,we have 2 in our horse troughs and they are seriously the prettiest gold fish I have ever seen....don't worry about them freezing they can live through winter just fine BUT don't feed them in the winter it can kill them, and also don't wait till the middle of winter and decide to remove them,do it in the fall if you don't want to winter them in the pond, and also don't wait too long to put it in there cause if its way too cold it can shock them, but he should be fine,as long as he is a feeder fish or something similar...(common one, fancy goldfish are too fragile)

  7. It's perfectly fine, my friend did the same thing with his gold fishes and his new pond.

On top of that, you said you have a simple tank with no filter etc. Then I guess a pond, with way more water flow is probably better than your aquarium, assuming your pond's water is not with poison. And i'm sure your goldfish would prefer nature over captivity.

    Anyway, don't worry, you're fine :)
