My isp has a high internet connection. Using navini networks 's ripwave mx modem, they share the connection through a large area. Can they track what I do?

  1. They can track and associate activities to your connection (based on the MAC address of your cable modem).  Now this doesn't necessarily mean they are tracking it, just that they can.  You'd need to check their policies as well as any legal obligations they have to maintain customer activity.  The ISP may also sell at an aggregate level browsing patterns as demographic data, but that wouldn't be personally identifiable information.  You may want to read up on your ISP's Privacy Policy to get more insight into their specific policies.

  2. Of course they COULD, but unless you give them a reason why would they?

  3. Ya it is possible to track using the ip address assigned to you at that moment and your  modem's permanent MAC Address.
