Question:

Can my lcd tv be fixed?

my lcd tv was knocked off stand by my cats, it fell about 18 inches and has a damaged screen. there is a spider web over part of screen and no picture at all, just vertical lines of colour.

it is still under guarantee but is unlikely to be covered.

please advise me if it can be fixed, how much this would cost and if you know of any repair company in the nottingham area.

your help is greatly appreciated as the tv is only 6 weeks old!!!!!!!!!!

  1. no no no no no

  2. If none of the above answers work then try to get re-imbursed through the third-party insurance, through your best friend ;-)

  3. It's likely that the crystals themselves - the "C" in LCD - have shattered or been otherwise damaged.  If this is the case, it's probably cheaper to get a new TV than to get it fixed - unless it's covered. Check with the place you bought it and the company that makes it to see whether or not that type of thing is covered.  Just don't get your hopes up.
