  1. He can be one for sure. I am currently training to be in some type of MMA. However following this advice will bring him closer to his dream. He will need to learn some type of jui jitsu. All MMA fighters these days need to know some type of it. 50 percent of fights will end up on the ground. wrestling will not teach you how to stop Jui Jitsu, but it is good to learn. What kind of Karate is it? I would something more centered around MMA than discipline and form. I would say learn Muay Tai, most people will agree that it is the best MMA  styled stand up fighting. If you cannot find something else Karate will work. Even boxing will help. He is naturally strong and  most likely tough if he likes MMA at age 12. Finally, it is never to young to train on a daily basis, so getting a weight machine and gloves, a heavyweight bag are also great starts. Good luck on your MMA career.

  2. only if he learns Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Gracie Jiu-Jitsu

  3. He can learn it and train for it... I suggest he learns BJJ and muay thai first tho... or Wrestling and boxing

  4. Liitle guys a beast of course it seems like he loves it and he is physically gifted he has chosen good rolemodels and is still young he could become a great mma fighter if he stays with it and works hard

  5. Of course he can, lead him the right way and you'll be seeing him as a top notch mma fighter in no time. Also it depends on how much effort he's putting in and if he's disciplined enough to shadowbox at that age then he'll make it.

  6. Probably not...

No problems with being an MMA STUDENT.

But fighting is an entirely different story.

Very few MMA students can become MMA fighters!

  7. Sounds like he has the interest and the aptitude; if he gets 5-6 solid years of training, he can possibly start fighting in amateur bouts at as young as 16 in some places...I wish him luck.

  8. anyone can be a fighter if they put their mind and heart into training
