Can my neighbours drill into my wall with planning (Link Detached)?

Question

My neighbours have planning for extension, we objected this for the reason that the extension of their garage will be supported by our exterior wall. We are link detached via the garages and don't want this to go ahead but see no way out of it?

Hi there,

I'm no expert but I think if it is a party wall then there isn't much you can do as you both have equal right to build off it.

Objections are usually only upheld for complaints where proposals would dramatically impact on the character of an area etc.
