I'm 17 and pregnant. (I'll be 18 when I have the baby in February) When my fiance gets home from army training we are planning on moving in together. (I live in Indiana) Can my parents legally stop me from moving out?

  1. Not as long as you're 18 in Indiana.

  2. no they cant, you would be a grown adult.

  3. It doesn't matter if you are 3 months shy of being 18 or 2 days shy...  if you are 17 they can report you as a runaway and make you come home...  when you turn 18 is when you can legally move out.

  4. Not if your 18

  5. if you are 18 no. if you are still 17 you should talk to a laywer and see what you can do

  6. When your 18 they can't.

If you leave when your 17 they can arrest you for "runaway"

  7. They own you until you are 18, after then if you wish to leave fine.   However until the age of 18 you cannot legally move out.

  8. wow. Good luck and I hope this baby is a healthy one for you both. Hope he didn't knock you up when you he was 18 and you were younger. Statatory rape!!

  9. No you can get emancipated if necessary, but I doubt it would ever go that far.
