  1. I think they can. only if they feel unsafe.

  2. People can call the police on anyone for whatever reason they want, whether or not they are justified is another question.

Also the boy who cried wolf comes to mind.

  3. Sure, but it usually doesn't turn out like they prefer. What they are basically doing is handing the responsibility for you to the state. To me, parents that do that fall into one of 3 categories:

    1) They believe they will have a semblance of control over what happens to you when you are taken away, which is many times wrong.

    2) They feel that no matter what they do, you are going to do what you want anyway, so it would be "teaching you a lesson". Tough love and all that.

    3) They truly couldn't give a ****.

  4. yeah, they have that right to call the police on you, but is this really a concern in your family. i'm sorry if it is. I used to have a girlfriend who's parents were encredibly psycho and called the police on her when she took thier dog out on a walk. (they all of a sudden must have felt like she ran away with it or something, christ, she was right around the corner)

but i feel open comunication in a family is very imiportant and if their is an open dialogue, i'm sure they wont deem it necessary to do that awful thing. it usually ends up being such a waste of time on their end just trying to prove a point.

i could potentialy see it necessary if you were

a: being a threat to yourself

b: being a threat to them

or c: you come home wasted one night and they want to prove their point and get you a breathalizer test.

hope that's not the case, yo~

  5. Yes. You also need to think about the "image" you are putting off and if you hang around the trashy girls you might find yourself stuck in a can. Remember your parents love you more than anything!!

  6. Do they have hands?

Are they able to push the buttons on the telephone?

Do they know how to properly use a telephone?

I'm sure they could call if they wanted to.

Why wouldn't they be able to?

  7. If they call the police on you and there is no real reason, i mean like a life threatening reason or something, they can get in trouble for filing a false report. 911 is not a babysitting service, it is for emergencies..

  8. You are d**n straight they can.  They will start monitoring you and if it gets to be a problem, there is already a record for them to act with.

  9. If they feel you are out of control, yes they can call them.

ADDED:  They can call, but it does not mean that they can get anything done.

By the way...congrats on your commitment on staying a virgin until marriage.  You should be applauded.

hupert...I do not know where you are, but that is not the case in any state in the US.  In the US, they could have you put in Juvee, or in foster care until 18, but you would not be responsible for any costs.

  10. yes they can

  11. Of course your parents can call the police on you. But honestly, what are the police going to do? Has, or is, a crime being committed?

The primary job of the police is "law enforcement" if a law isn't being broken (like having s*x underage) that can be proven, or you are "at risk" of harming yourself or others the police wont have anything to do with it. It's between you and your parents.

But of course, your parents can call them anyway.

  12. They sure can and get can also tell the cops to take you to DH which is a place for kids under the age 18. If your not listening to your parents you can be charged with disorderly conduct, and have to go to court and can be put on probation, when that happens your parents are still your authority but even if your parents tell you, that you can go out and do something you have to ask your probation officer first and if they say no your can not go. I was on probation for 5 years growing up i got off when i was 17 years old for being good, Its not fun trust me i would just listen to your parents its so much easier

  13. yep mine have

  14. It happens; it's werid; but it happens

  15. ur parents can all the polic on u whenevr they want if they feeel that is suitable

  16. yeah why not?

what did or didn't you do because it all depends

    but  yeah they can.

be good and you should be safe.

    take care.

  17. Yes, they can file an unruly child case, and that can get you sent to juvenile or to a group home. The decision is up to the court and your parents. Stop being bad, they are your parents. It's not fun being in juvenile or a group home, trust me.

  18. no i never heard of such a thing

  19. Depends on what you are doing. Illegal stuff then yes they can. Otherwise it is unlikely as it would just be wasting police time and then they would be punished instead.

(In the newspaper a few weeks ago it reported a man who phoned the police to take him home because his ice lollies, which he had just bought, were melting. That type of thing is wasting police time)

  20. yeah, if you kill or rob a place they should! Then its their job as parents. But yeah they can if you do somthing bad. It is a good idea to confess if you have done somthing really bad so you can get help so you dont do it again

  21. But remind them they also have to pay your bail and lawyer by law.
