Can my sim card work in another cell phone?

I have AT&T service for my Sony Ericsson cell phone (about 3-4yrs old). I saw another AT&T (new one) cell phone on craigslist. If I remove my sim card from my phone, will it work in this new (AT&T) cell phone?

it sure will .. the great thing about GSM phones is the only thing you need to do is to swap sim cards!

If your using an older sim that doesnt have the 3g fireball on it and you start to drop alot of calls .. go to a local corporate store and explain your issue they can swap your sim for you usually at no charge (you may have to ask). The new phones are designed to run with the 3g sim cards .. and will have better service that way.
