I always wondered about that, the thing is that she hasnt opened an account yet and needs her money. At other places for cashing checks charge alot on big checks and she doesnt want that. So is it possible for me to deposit her check using my ATM card and an ATM machine? will there be any problems?

  1. it won't work; i tried to deposit my son's check in my account; it seemed to work at the time with the ATM, but they mailed it back to me a few days later (it was with Bank of America)

  2. Depends on the banks check policy. They may require both of you to be present when depositing the check or they may not allow it at all. Most banks lose the most amount of money from their third party checks so most of them won't even deal with these at all anymore. Why doesn't she just open up a savings account somewhere so she can cash her check without paying all kinds of chek cashing fees?

  3. No she can not... I am a Bank Of America Account Holder  the bank manager told me that any third party checks can not be deposited in BofA accounts. Signing the check over to you doen't make a difference.. They will not accept it.

  4. Yes all she has to do is go up there with you and sign the check and show id cause i used to do that with my moms chase bank account.

  5. She has to sign her check over to you. It's best to go into the actual bank for this as every bank has a different preference for this.
