Can my social security be garnished?

this the 3rd time on this question. i don't need a bunch of quotes. i need 2 know, plain and simple. yes or no!

i defaulted on my student loans, can the my social security benefits be intercepted to pay my loans off. in other words. can they take my money bfore i even see it. if they can't garnish my vet disability benefit. can they, how! can they get me social security.

i don't want an explanation. all i want to know is can the take my SS before it is sent too me. can they sto paymen of my SS,intercept it, so i never get it.
