my son who is 11yo got into a fight today after school with boy from is class it was broke up my a member of the public and the other boy ran home crying to is parents while my son never told me anything about it.

And a couple of hours later the police came knocking on my door about the incident and they also got in touch with the school.

my son told me later then that the other boy stabed him with a combus in school and then after school was throwing stones at him so my son when upto him and puched him in the face and was kicking him when he was on the floor. my son said he did not want to kick him when he was on the floor it was just he was so pissed off.

Now i have to meet with the school and the boys parents twomorow and am very nervous that they will kick him out of school and also that the pollice might give him an asbo or a criminal record

but do you think they will kick him out of school and or criminal record

  1. yes

  2. probably no criminal record because of his age. Expelled form school, maybe. Suspended DEFINATELY! This boy needs some MAJOR dicipline. (as well as the other boy involved) If he is doing this at 11 what will he be doing at 21? Killing people?

  3. Since he's under 12, he doesn't have to worry about jail time (or a criminal record), but kicking someone while they're on the ground?

We're talking the difference between common assault, and assault with intent to do grevious bodily harm.

As for your meet and greet with the school and other boy's parents. Apologise to the principal and the other parents on behalf of your son, and let both know that you are going to suitably punish your son for kicking the other boy, but for the punch, you will not apologise for him, now allow him to apologise for DEFENDING HIMSELF from someone attacked him twice in one day with weapons. After all...David killed Goliath with a 3oz stone.

    Good Luck!

  4. Does anyone know what a combus is?  That is throwing me off...

  5. probably no record since hes only 11 but hes probably might be suspended

  6. they wont kick him out but he'll be suspended .. thats for sure.

  7. Just say you will prosecute the school for not protecting your child.

  8. do you mean a compass?   Your son will be punished, probaby suspended which he should based on his actions.   If the other boy provoked him, he too should be punished.  But you must recognize that regardless what happened to your son, he attacked this kid rather than tell anyone what was going on.  Was this the first time this kid harassed him?  your son needs to learn control - i am not saying to tolerate kids throwing rocks at him etc, but to punch and kick someone to the point of injury is just asking for trouble.  he's lucky the kid was able to run home - what happens when he attacks and the other kids happens to have a weapon on him?   be glad this is all that happened and use this time to straighten your kid out.

  9. unfortunetly even self-defense can be considered for suspention in most U.S. schools.  This is still considered 'fighting'.  As for your son, I hope that everything turns out well for you.  If they don't take the other boy's actions I would call a lawer.  But only consider that as your last resort.

  10. No offense but I hope they do both. But I don't really know because I am assuming you don't live in the United States sense it is only Monday morning over here so school isn't over with yet.  Your son needs to learn a lesson and you need to teach him not to fight!
