My oldest son received a misdemeanor for forgery by signing his ex-wife's name on some documents which they did a lot.(When they were married) During the divorce she claimed otherwise and it ended up in court. Now it's on his record and he's interested in obtiaining a life insurance license. Any suggestions?

  1. He can still apply, he would have to have character references and see if the board approves him.

  2. Yes, it's the felony that keeps you from getting your license.

However, with a forgery conviction against him, it's going to be really, really hard to find someone to hire him.

  3. Chances are good.  If was not to recent
