  1. I had a tooth taken out last week, and my ear hurt right along with my tooth.  It hurt right up til I got numbed with novacaine.  Then when that wore off, and I just had pain (soreness) from the procedure, it hurt (but less) along with that.

Anbesol might help only if it can make your tooth stop hurting completely.  Then the pain in your ear will diminish.  But I found taking some advil or other pain reliever helped more with the ear.

  2. Because anbesol isn't getting to the root of your problem(no pun intended). Call your dentist and tell him to what's going on. I had a wisdom tooth pulled, started having pain in my jaw to the point I could only eat things like mashed potatoes, eggs, soup, etc. He had to put me on antibiotics because he said I had something called a "dried pocket". Call your dentist, sounds like he hit a nerve with the tooth filling material.

  3. well i think it is coming from the filled tooth. You might have to extract it or go for a root canal treatment. If you could not see the dentist you can take a antibiotics  until you can .but I do not know wheather they are given them over the counter in your country. you have to consult the dentist or the pain might increase.

  4. Definitely!

Anbesol is a topical treatment, ask your dentist for some real pain killers.

  5. yes. most definitely.

that is one of the leading reasons for earaches are toothaches.i hope you get better !

    take some tylenol.

  6. FYI AMBESOL OR ORAGEL OR ANY TOPICAL ANESTHETIC WILL BE FUTILE HERE.

    WHY?

    IT WILL NEVER WORK.

    WHY NOT?

IT'S DESIGNED FOR A DIFFEERENT KIND OF PAIN NOT THE KIND YOU DESCRIBE.

YOU'LL GET BETTER RELIEF BY TAKING 3-4 ADVIL EVERY 4-6 HOURS BEFORE YOU SEE A DENTIST FOR THE WISDOM TOOTH.

THIS TYPE OF PAIN IS NOT UNUSUAL WHERE WISDOM TEETH ARE CONCERNED.
