Can my toshiba satellite burn dvd's?

system a105-s2131

came with xp media center.

always detects cd and dvds and plays them.

burns cd's but not dvds?

am i missing some hardware or is it unable to

go to toshiba they have a cool site that can answer all your questions just ask the wizard he name is lisa.

i think we have the same laptop :-) it should say right on the cd drive tray if it can burn cd/dvd. it will say "cd/dvd recordable or re writeable" you will also need to download a program.. a good one is called Nero. it costs a bit, but worth it.
