Question:

Can my website viewers create usernames and passwords for access to restricted areas?

I would like to have an option for my viewers to register with me and create a username and password for themselves to increase return visits. I don't know how to do this. I've seen a password restriction option in the Web Hosting Control Panel, but if I understand correctly that's for allowing access for a few people to parts of my website, and I would have to create the username/pswd's first, then assign them to users. Please help me understand this! This option would help my website so much!

  2. It would help my web site too, but it is not possible to allow

other people to register and create user names and passwords on your site.  Only you can do that.

  3. Go to site settings (in the store control panel), then go to Customer Access. In that section you may enable passwords for viewing the site.
