Can n e 1 help me with vanilla visa card?

okay so i recieved a vanilla gift card for my birthday it was 100dollars i went to go buy stuff on line and it said it wasnt activated so i called the 800 number and they tolled me i need to go down to the store i bought it from with the reciept but i accidently through it away ....wat now?

Contact the person who gave it to you. Chances are they gave you the activation receipt, but they probably have the actual receipt. On it, it will show wether it was activated or not. Sometimes, it's not, or the cashier missed it and they didn't pay for it. I know you don't want to be a burden on someone who was giving you a gift, but I also know that if I spent $100 on a gift for someone, I would want to know it didn't go to waste.
