I have two different cordless phones. One is a 2.4 GHz and the other is 5.8 GHz. I was just wondering as I talk to my sister and friends if the people across the street can listen to what I am saying......

  1. It could possibly happen, not sure if they really are that obsessive though.  I've had it happen where I have heard a conversation on my walkee-talkees when I was younger.  They were talking about an omelet at Denny's.

  2. Yes.  I use a baby monitor in my house.  The older version I was using picked up one sided conversations very clearly while I was outside.  Hasn't happened too much with my new monitor.

  3. A few years ago, I was helping some friends at their yard sale.

An "expecting mom to be" wanted to plug in the baby monitor set to make sure that they were in good  working condition.

My friends told me to plug it in their power strip that was being used also for their stereo(which was also for sale)that was on display and it was on a California *** A.M. *** STATION ***.

The main monitor that had the power adapter attached was plugged in to the power strip.

As the "mom to be" walked around to test the other monitor...it picked up loud and clear the neighbors across the street.

I won't add what we all  heard. lol

Privacy Law and over the age of 18 rules might apply here.  lol

  4. Sometimes, I picked up our upstairs neighbors baby monitor on ours
