  1. No....because by definition they would not be newspapers.

    Instead, these publications would be "advertisers" like the free shopping guides distributed with local advertisements.

    Newspapers may not survive in present format, but journalists will survive and the old newspaper cityroom will probably become the "news center" as converging technologies cause more  journalists to carry video cams while reporting for print, broadcast and the Internet.
