Can ngo's of the u.n. have diplomatic immunity like members of the united nations?

just wanted to know why do groups want to become associated as ngo's in the united nations? What is the benefit? Please answer all the questions posted here if you can.

  1. Members of the UN do not have diplomatic immunity. Members of another country's diplomatic mission have diplomatic immunity. So it doesn't have to do with UN membership; it has to do with the association with an individual country's diplomatic mission/embassy.

    No, NGOs don't get diplomatic immunity.
