Question:

Can not get signal for digitial to analog converter. What is worng?

I live is Tenn. and have an outdoor antenna,I am positive it is connected to mt tv properly.

  1. Double chech your connections.  The antenna will go into the antenna input of the converter.  The other connection could be labelled TV out or antenna out.  It goes to the antenna input on your TV.  You could also use the composite or S video connector on the converter if it has them.  

    If you're using the antenna output from the converter you need to set the TV to channel 3 or 4.  The converter outputs the converted signal on one of those channels.  Try 3 and if it doesn't work try 4.  Some converters have a switch on the back or bottom to select the output channel but some of them are selected from the converter menu so you have to find the converter output first and change it if you want to.  You should see the menu of the converter on one of those channels.  It should go through a set-up where it scans for digital signals.  When it's done, it will give you a list of what it sees.  You'll leave the TV on whatever channel the converter is set to and change what you want to watch by changing the channel with the converte box, not the TV.
