Can not install firewire card due to computer not...

I have put in the firewire card in the slot, and started the installation wizard. As I go through the process the message appears as...can not install this hardware. this hardware was not installed because we can not find the necessary hardware(the cd rom is inserted)nexxtech1394 card model# n3pfwpcI have windows xpbought from circuit city, and id not rteturnable.Any help would be greatGreg C
