Can not record internal sounds on my pc

Question

i am trying to record the music off of a m-peg file using nero and/or roxio recording programs, when i bouble click my speaker icon, get the channel inputs and open property i only have a playback buttom. there is no record buttom to select so i can't record. what do i do?
