Can octopus ink stain your skin?

I've been swimming in the Pacific ocean (Costa Rica) all week, and today I noticed a weird blotchy spot on my leg. We've seen octopi (?) in the water, and so I'm wondering if that might be the cause.

  1. no. u shed ur skin every few weeks. but it might take a while to wash off. :\

    I didn't even know that they had "ink" though...weird.
