  1. Four of the Great Lakes straddle the border, as other posters have pointed out. It's possible, if you should happen to cross the border in the middle of the lake, that someone will ask where you're going but it's extremely unlikely. If you land on the US side having arrived in any kind of boat, you're supposed to go through customs.

  2. the best people to ask that question would be to call the Canada border and ask them. they would tell you the best info.

p.s the great lakes are sooooooo cooooooool!!!! have fun!!!!

  3. I am not sure that I understand you question clearly.  If you are in Canada you can see Lake Ontario, Erie, Huron and Superior when on Canadian soil.  If you are in the US you can see them all while on American Soil.  But you do not say why  you are questioning the American Visa.   or if you are visiting Canada or the US...so I am not sure I have answered you question or what the rules are about the visa...you have to talk to the customs people on either side of the border..

  4. Yes, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario all on the Canadian side.  The only Lake you won't be able to visit is Lake Michigan, which is only bordered by US states.  I would recommend visiting Toranto and Niagra Falls.
