Can one actually forget how to ride a bike?

well these things do happen, losing skills that you once had. I mean this might be embarrassing but I forgot how to swim after not swimming for 6 years and i realized it when i was at a friends house

Ha Ha!  How do you forget to ride a bike?  Seriously though, I can't ride without holding the handle bars anymore.  As a kid, I could ride around the neighborhood without touching the handlebars.  So I guess you could forget aspects of riding a bike.
