  1. Hello,

Certainly that branch of philosophy called "fundamentals of logic" is one of the best courses one can take and keeping skilled in it requires a great deal of practice and discipline as it is so easy for any of us to walk into the numerous fallacies and faulty reasoning.  I am astonished that many lawyers, judges and politicians I have known were never given these tools of reasoning in their academic careers.

Being very philosophical is good if you are a professor or teacher in that field but outside that, you also need to develop other skills, trades or professions in order to pay your bills and put food on the table. It is not wise to get into some sort of philosophical mode where you just end up contemplating your navel all day and ignore all the practical realities of life that require your attention.

    Cheers,

    just take your pick

today people can think like the masses on all the issues they wish but I believe the stinking thinking some of us do have put us into this mess. those who think but do not ponder on it or share it with others have put us into a hole. I wish I could have lived around Plato and Socrates or Aesop. you can do anything you like you are free but freedom comes with a price
