  1. It's possible.  My friend is a resident alien from Russia.  She has bought a car on credit, and has even gotten tentative approval for a home loan.  I couldn't tell you how she did it, but at least you know it's possible.


  2. It take time and energy to build your credit. I would not think you will like to build it without  a SSN. It will not benefit you as much as if you  have a SSN. Of course you can build without it SSN.
