Can one concisely explain to me what basic lighting and camera positioning lead to decent digital photographs?

  1. The best photos occur in the early morning or at dusk. And make sure the sun is at an angle to the object you're photographing, never behind or directly in front of. If inside take it in a well lit room and not too close up, about 2 ft away or more. But personally, I like conventional cameras (Film).


  2. Side, back but never head on. Try to put emphasis on your subject by using shadows or highlights it exploit its features. Position your camera at angles so the subject appears to have leading lines.
