Hi, I am planning to major in American studies for undergrad or classic and minor in Logic and Philosophy of Science (Philosophy) at either Cornell or Dartmouth.

My question is will they not accept me because for the non rigorous major or would they care only because of my GPA and LSAT?

I will start to study for my LSAT before my junior year. If you know anyone who is in Harvard law school or you are in there could you please give my some insights.

Do you know anyone who had a “_____ studies” undergrad degree and when to top 3 law schools?

Thank you

  1. You can major in anything.  A degree from Cornell or Dartmouth will not be considered non-rigorous -- because it won't be.  This is especially true if you are supplementing this degree with logic & philosophy of science.

What will matter is your grades and your LSAT.  75% of those accepted at Harvard Law last year has a 3.92 or higher GPA.  You will need an LSAT score in the 170s.  You should take the LSAT in your senior year, not your Junior year.

  2. The major wont make any difference.

    Thanks
