  1. Yes, it can be done, although the trip will be somewhat lengthy.

You'd take Amtrak's Adirondack from Montreal Central Station to New York's Penn Station, which takes around 13 hours, arriving in the early evening.

You'd then have to book into a hotel for the night.

The next day, you have a choice between two trains--the Silver Star and the Silver Meteor--which go between Penn Station and West Palm Beach.

Some folks making that sort of trip choose to take Amtrak's Auto Train service.  They drive to Lorton, Virginia (just outside of Washington, DC), and then get on the Auto Train. After a pleasant 17 hour train trip they get off in Sanford, Florida (just outside of Orlando), and then drive the remaining three hours to West Palm Beach.  Something to think about if you don't mind some driving and would like to have your car with you in Florida.  It makes the most sense if you're planning to stay in Florida for some time.

  2. Yes.  You start in Montreal, go to New York, and then to W Palm Beach -- New York is the ONLY change of trains in each direction --  although allow some time at Rouses Point NY on the southbound trip and Cantic on the northbound --Customs, you know.

  3. you should be able too, im sure that AMTRAK or MARC have lines that run from north to south.

AMTRAK has stations in both places, you will have to make train changes of course to get from one point to the other.

Montreal is MTR, and West Palm Beach is WPB.

Best and quickest route would be going to New York (NYP), then to WPB
